Complete refurbishment and extension of a six-bedroom Oxford property
Elevasion Property Group is delivering a comprehensive refurbishment and extension of an existing six-bedroom property on Abingdon Road in Oxford.
The project brings together significant structural alterations, a new rear extension, upgraded services and a complete internal modernisation within one coordinated programme of works.
The aim is to transform the existing property into a more modern, practical and cohesive home, while carefully managing each stage of the build from initial strip-out and structural work through to the final finishes.
Creating a more open and practical layout
A key part of the project is the reconfiguration of the ground floor.
The existing kitchen, dining area and ground-floor bathroom are being stripped out, with internal partitions removed to create a more open-plan arrangement. Structural works include temporary support, new steelwork and lintels, alterations to existing openings and the formation of new connections between the principal living spaces.
The works also include a new single-storey rear extension, extending approximately 4.5 metres across the rear of the property and creating space for a large sliding-door opening connecting the house with the garden.
Together, these changes will create a brighter, more connected ground floor that is better suited to modern family living.

Beyond the structural changes, the project involves the refurbishment and modernisation of the property throughout.

Managed from planning through to completion
The project is being managed by Elevasion Property Group from the early construction stages onwards, including the coordination of drawings and specifications, site documentation, Building Control requirements, programming, progress monitoring and the management of any variations as works progress.
This structured approach is particularly important on a refurbishment of this scale, where structural work, existing building conditions and multiple trades all need to be carefully coordinated.
